From my very first meeting with Mr Mahmud, I felt confident and totally reassured that my knee problem would be corrected. Although at 49yrs a Complex Total Knee Replacement seemed very daunting and the only option, my complete trust was totally justified after surgery. I’m now four month’s post surgery and have a knee that is stable, painless and I’m able to enjoy activities such as walking, going to the gym and hopefully in time cycling. My dog has never been so happy.

I have recently undergone a very successful complete knee replacement perform by Mr Mahmud. Not only is he a brilliant surgeon but also has a good understanding of his patient’s needs. I am a retired Army officer I had retired from the armed forces after 35 years’ service. I had total right hip replacement surgery on 13th June 2019 at Spire Regency Hospital the surgeon was Mr Tahir Mahmud. This is a review of that surgery. At the time of my surgery I had just recovered from fractured back surgery that did not go well so I was very sceptical of the very much needed hip replacement. I was in dreadful pain, very confined and unable to walk far and unable to function properly on a daily basis. Mr Mahmud convinced me that the hip replacement would transform my life, I am glad to say he was absolutely correct the hip surgery has completely changed my life for the better. I am now able to walk, play golf and use the gym. I was delighted with my experience at Spire Regency Hospital under the care of Mr Tahir Mahmud. The hospital was spotlessly clean, the nurses were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for Mr Mahmud I did say at the time that Mr Mahmud has a very gifted ability, a very rarer talent. I would fully recommend the Spire and Mr Tahir Mahmud without hesitation.

I had a total hip replacement performed by Mr Mahmud less than 6 months ago. I am delighted with the result as my operation and recovery have both gone smoothly. On each occasion I saw Mr Mahmud he took time to explain what was happening and answer any queries. I have received excellent care and attention.
